Why is IPM important?
You need to work with your employees to identify the
intellectual property within your business, develop strategies to
protect it, and be prepared in enforcing those rights.

On the other side of the coin, you need to avoid infringing the IP
rights of others. The costs involved in scrapping entire
production runs or marketing campaigns can be enormous, and
are completely unnecessary.

Much of this is the hidden face of Intellectual Property.

The media is very efficient at telling us about high profile software
organisations and piracy cases but we don't often hear about the
smaller business enterprises who face significant financial
difficulties after being involved in infringement disputes.

Installing an IP management system (see
IPfastrack  ) offers an
insurance against such situations and will make sure that you will
be the only one to benefit form your hard work and innovation
What are you doing about your IP?
The trap for many small to medium businesses and indeed a
number of large companies, is to be too focused on the
"business end" of running their business. (which may mean the
"end" of their business!)

All too frequently issues relating to IP are only apparent when
they encounter difficulties promoting or marketing their product
when blocked by infringing someone else's rights.

The message here is to be pro-active with your IP.

THINK ABOUT IT EARLY AND DON'T LEAVE IT............
                    UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE!
